Home for the Holidays: Photo Session

 

Over the weekend Joe and I spent Saturday afternoon capturing my friend Jill and her family in their beautiful home.  Jill works as a photo stylist, so I was even more excited to see how she had decorated this year for the holidays.  We had so much fun photographing her and the family decorating the tree, drinking lots of coffee and just spending the afternoon together.  The hard part for me was picking out my favorites to share with you today.  Happy Holidays!

Friday Fancies: Labor Day Chic

TGIF, it's a long weekend!!  Yay :)  For this weeks Friday Fancies theme I created a special Labor Day Chic- Chicago style!!  Since this weekends forecast is going to be B-utiful a few of us girls are kicking the weekend off by spending the afternoon at Oak Street Beach.  I'm so excited to lay in the sun with a cold drink and girly magazines. The perfect way to salute a long summer weekend!  Cheers and enjoy your long weekend too!

Hello!  Let's hear it for the weekend!!  Woot woot :) Work has been crazy this week, but fun.  New photo stylists in the studio have brought much needed energy to our small photo group.  How has your week been? Do you feel this sense of renewal because of the new year?  I'm sure feeling it. My thoughts this week have been full of hope and possibilites. Whatever your weekend may bring, I hope you find time to unplug, recharge and focus on being the best possible you!

Hi everyone. I'm back from a week long staycation. And what a great time it was to say the least! I slept in almost every day, dyed my hair back to it's natural color (dark brown), decorated my first real Christmas tree, made some yarn ornaments (photos to come) and other holiday decorations, stayed home on black Friday (yeah!), and managed to sneak in some rejuvenating workouts among all the yummy treats and eats! Although I throughly enjoyed my time off, I have to admit I enjoy coming back to a routine of a scheduled work day... I know, I just do :)

Hello and happy Friday to you on this beautiful fall afternoon. We've experienced some crazy winds (up to 60 mpr) this week so I thought this paper art work would be appropriate to share with you. I hope you all had a lovely long holiday weekend. I rarely post on a Sunday but thought it might be a nice treat to recap the holiday weekend. I feel so revived and ready to start the work week with full creative force....aahhhh.. I heart that feeling! I'd love to hear how your holiday weekend went too.

Here's how I spent my carefree days:
~ finished my christmas village (photos to come)
~ started working on 2009 calender
~ tuned into the Light 93.9 & rocked to holiday classics
~ saw my newest favorite movie Australia (I laughed & cried, twice)!
~ slept in every morning until 10!
~ made awesome garlic mashed potatoes for our family feast
~ took our 4 family pups to the dog park for a pre-feast walk & trot
