DIY Advent Calendar

Enjoy this little DIY I put together for you to countdown the 25 days of Christmas! I got this idea when I found out that these plastic sleeves were going to be thrown out at work.  I thought they would be the perfect size for a project like an advent calendar.  And since I don't have a mantel, I pinned these to the garland going up the stairs instead.  They just add a nice pop of holiday color to the staircase, I think. Have fun making one for yourself!  Let me know how yours turns out :)

Oh, that's great! I love it on the garland. I'm like Zoe though: not crafty. :(

I agree with Tori, the plastic sleeves were an awesome idea!! I wish I could find time in my life to do something like this. On a separate note - I also really like the layout of this post.

Thank you ladies! These were fun to put together.

Chrystina, I finished this project over a course of 2 weeks in front of the tv. Anytime I was watching I'd have this project in front of me, so it didn't really feel like it took that much time to complete.

Happy crafting!!

I love this DIY idea! Great tutorial. I've never made an advent calendar before, but now that I have kids, I'm thinking it would make a wonderful tradition. Thanks for sharing!
